Biden will cover his son that is a given. If anyone here did this would you still be out on the street?

Saw that article. No question about it, Hunter is a free spirit, and a good guy to steer clear of.

He is also a heavy drug user. I would bet he has multiple "assault style" guns.

what do you consider an assault style gun, and why would that matter?

What we would consider an "assault weapon" makes no difference; what the left/liberal/Dems consider it is more cogent. Plus the fact that his father's position will protect him from attempted confiscation.

well, a firearm is a firearm, and he (biden) may not be eligible to own one,

the assault weapon definition matters, due to the proper paperwork and legality in some states.
but as PWC pointed out, the media says a pointy stick is a Glock,, so it may be more, or less, complicated

And had a gun in his possession -- simultaneous possession of guns and drugs is a felony.

He was dishonorably discharged from the military for heavy drug use. That must have been a very serious charge against him as when I was in the Army most light drug users got an Article 15.

He was administratively discharged. That's different from a DD.

No need for influence -- what military or naval officer would willingly offend the Vice President?
