    Police and institutional bullying

Unfortunately good people wearing badges are being blamed for all the bad and not credited for the good. When the bad cops are bad, they are really bad.

Here in AR the local city and county police are under paid, under trained, and overworked. And yes, they bully. They don?t hide it they brag about it.

Here is anecdote. A 76 year old veteran was cited for a expired automobile license. It expired in 2020 and it was 2121. He was ticketed by a city policeman who scolded him and said it didn’t matter...

It didn?t matter the Revenue Department discontinued renewal notices. It didn?t matter when the local license office was locked down. On the other hand, the State, waived the late penalty (for everybody) but the city of Prairie Grove is so nice, they lowered their price to $140.

BTW, the renewal was $3.xx if done on time. Literally thousands of people are still driving with expired plates

The goal of punishment is to prevent the crime, so we can all feel good that this disabled American veteran will never again forget to do something.

Red is bitter against the police because when he was driving truck years ago he got a lot of tickets which he says he didn't do anything wrong and he blames the police and carries a grudge against the police for that..

it that was RED or not, he does make a point,

there are a lot of small towns (know of one locally) that use traffic tickets to gain revenue,

one guy that worked for me moved back home,
he went back to be a Fireman, he brother was already a local Policeman,

he got $2 towards his retirement for every ticket he wrote,

Not unfamiliar with that sort of thing. Mostly younger cops not fully informed. People have gone to their local village halls a d had the tickets fixed. Citation adjustment.
One case in particular a friend was cited for overnight parking on village streets without a village sticker or parking permit displayed in the window. She had just bought the house and village revenue offices were closed due to covid.
Here ticket was dismissed and she was given an old village sticker to display in the meantime.
Try it. It may work out for you?

There you go again telling lies. The largest truck I have ever driven was a Ford 150. I have never gotten a ticket in a truck. I drove Chevy Malibus and Ford Crown Vics.

I told you twice before I wasn?t a truck driver. To me that is a demeaning slam.

What is a Private Message? There is no more Private Messages.

You and Togo have a lot in common... ending private messaging is one.
