Is this America where the NG has to be activated over a court finding?

More than 3,000 members of National Guard are activated as hundreds march through Minneapolis as George Floyd jury retires to consider its verdict amid fears of nationwide violence

Protesters gathered in Minneapolis on Monday as the jury started its deliberations toward a verdict

Former Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin faces murder and manslaughter charges in the death of George Floyd

Images showed hundreds marching through the city demanding justice for Floyd while waving BLM flags and holding signs that read 'Blue Lives Murder'

Meanwhile, the Biden administration is privately weighing how to handle the upcoming verdict in the trial

It strikes me if he is convicted he has perfect grounds for overturning the verdict.

Biden has now opined on this with his tiny demented brain. Today he announced that he "hopes the jury reaches the right verdict." In addition to what Maxine Waters has said there is enough evidence to decide this is a mistrial.

What can you say, Ray, except that the cops gone and made a whole bunch of people mad at them.

And this is America, where people aren't expected to be docile.

Now folks do need to mind their manners and sometimes they need reminding on that point. NG can be good for that.

I believe the operative phrase goes something like "government by consent of the governed".

BTW, withholding consent is by no means just a liberal or black fad these days. Lots of covid protestors and gun rights folks are thinking along very similar lines.

You are usually going to find a bad apple or two in a box car full of apples...Good cops are glad to see the bad apples removed..

Tucker Carlson did not take the verdict well (no surprise there).

You can see his face gradually contort as he doesn't like what he's hearing out of this former LEO and corrections official. Tucker Carlson is NOT someone who should ever be in charge of anything.
