Brooks ran away, turned and pointed the Taser at officers, and was shot dead

Garrett Rolfe was dismissed by Atlanta Police Department on June 13

Rolfe has been charged with murder, but on Thursday sought reinstatement
He argued that his dismissal was rushed and done without due process

I don't know all the details aside from whatever the mass media decided to hype. However, if there were unjust actions taken in the name of political correctness, the I most surely wish him the best.

The police cannot function when constantly subjected to whatever happens to be the knee- jerk reaction of the day. If this works out for the good, then certain supervisors caught up in the PC rush may be able to clear themselves as well.

Having grown up in inner city Chicago, I've seen enough "bad cops" to know the difference. Good cops need to be able to do their jobs without having to second guess what public reaction might be, or becoming a scape goat for those who haven't a clue about what's really going on out there.
