It is very simple. There is a “non interference clause” that prevents price negotiation in the formularies for both the VA and Medicare. Pelosi tried to delete the clause in 2018 but the Recraps were getting too much payola from big Pharma. There is a movement now to remove the clause, but big Pharma is screaming about socialized medicine. Of course that is the standard blip when anything threatens profits.

Big push this coming week internationally for waivers of intellectual property rights. Irony is that while there is a huge international demand, around here we're down to the people who won't get the jab.

Will the vax hesitant ones in the USA gripe if we give their shots away to people in India? Not like those doses are doing any good sitting in the freezer.
