I wonder what the actual ratio is, white on black versus the other way around. The difference in actual rates of occurrence matters a lot.

an attack is just that, an attack

why would it matter what the race is as far as a (so called) reporter or journalist is concerned?

the FBI etc may keep the stats, based on demographics,

          I can answer that!

The OP points to a disparity in coverage, which flavors he sees in the media.

I think he suspects editorial bias at work in the choice of which incidents get to print.

This is why it is important to know the underlying rate at which things happen. If one flavor is covered in the media 10X more than the other, but happens 20x more often than the other in actuality, then there's bias all right but not in the direction one might expect.

you did not answer the question you bolded,
you made up some stuff about the OP.

            riddle me this,

mass shooting, multiple deaths and injuries,

white dude as a shooter, front page news, pic of perp, headlines 'White Male blah blah blah'

follow up stories updated every 20 minutes with his religion, family, background, work habits, and social media presence

non white as a shooter, and headlines are 'shooter blah blah blah)

day or more before any of the above is mentioned, and then in small type buried on page 3...

            tell me why

              Editors and narratives, obviously.

You don't like some narratives, but surely buy into others. Human brains are wired for narrative.

Maybe some of these on the right float your boat:

              War on Xmas
              Wuhan Lab Virus
              Deep state and Trump 2016
              Big Lie stolen election 2020
Sleepy Joe, aka Deep State puppet masters, 2021

Back to the topic, enough unarmed blacks have been killed by white cops, sometimes in spectacular fashion, on video, such that there's a narrative out there about this, and a debate about how big a problem it is.

If blacks get caught beating up whites, or Asians, in enough numbers, then maybe we see that narrative get born too.

For sure editors make their choices.

I really see that these days with covid, like they don't want to let the story go. Now we're getting stories about how organ transplant recipients are scared to open up and how we the USA failed to vaccinate India and Africa.

It's kinda annoying but also easily forgotten stuff.

One has to question why a minority causes the most crime in America?

you really have trouble admitting you are wrong don't you,

when it does not fit your narrative, you go back to the same old same old and make it personal,

what my narrative or your narrative is, is not the topic discussed,

instead of looking for avenues around the issue,, why not look at the issue,

apparently you are not capable? or don't want to ? or have another agenda?

I did a quick google search a few days ago when I posted and only found data from 1999 , way to far back to be relevant to the discussion,

I know a guy that lives in Minnesota, that had a lung transplant a couple years ago,
he cannot be vaccinated, his transplant docs won't give him the vaccine, and he is OK with it,

but he also lives out in the country,, not in the city if that matters

Togey is to be pitted as one who cannot admit to having a failure of any sort. Independent congruent thought is not a possibility as it goes against their mind think...i.e. "Borg". In looking @ "Them" in this light it is much easier to try and understand their inability of life. Dealing with a two year old and "Them" are basically on this emotional level.
