Thanks for letting me know that I'm a racist. I had no idea. Here I thought that I was totally open-minded and like yourself judged people on their personal behaviour and not on the colour of their skin or their ethnic origins. My late mother would have been appalled had she learned that I was a racist, having spent all of our youth teaching us to treat people equally. Its even worse to learn that my daughter is a racist. In her case, all through university she talked warmly about the senior don in her college and never once mentioned that she was black - and now I discover that she too must be a racist. For shame. Let us all hang our heads in despair!

Mark, you've described is one of the double standards of racism. Had she mentioned the person was black, being white she would have been called out on it. Why did that need to be mentioned?
Since she didn't mention it, she's yet another white person who denies a black any deserved credit.

Ever ask anyone this when they say 'white'?
"What white people? There are so many ethnicities and varying cultures from all over I can't count them all. Many don't get along well. Some do and some don't. So, what kind of white people are you speaking of?"

Try it. Watch the facial expressions. Listen to how many stop stuttering only after they change the subject.
