NYPD riot cops use pepper spray and arrest 22 during violent clashes with mob protesting 10PM Washington Square Park curfew

Riot police had to use physical force on Saturday night as they tried to enforce a new 10pm curfew in Washington Square Park

Video showed officers dragging people and cops trying to push them with bikes

In several cases, the parkgoers were seen pushing back, and hurled glass bottles at police officers

At least 22 people were arrested for unlawful assembly and violation of park rules, according to law enforcement sources. Five cops were injured

Curfew took effect on Friday night after the mayor's office decided to shut down the park following locals complaint about the noise and drugs late at night

Yep, people are in a protesting mood. It has happened before.

Some network and cable TV producers seem to be downright looking forward to it. They have their narratives all set (ie., cops bad, or protestors hate America, protestors hate Democracy), just need something to happen somewhere then the gears start turning.
