It wasn't WW2, but rather one specific regime that he was stuck on.
But WW2 was in fact the last time the public was asked to make big sacrifices, was it not?
So less about WW2 than just going back to the previous big event on the home front.Comment

So, I looked up Tomi.
-She nailed it. Spoiled children, make for selfish adults.- This was a response to her description of OR riots. "This is what happens when democrats get everything they want on their radical wish list"
Letting children run amok. Where have we heard this?If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.Comment

Gotta wonder if she'd be the kind of parent to applaud the teacher for dropping the hammer on her own kids, or criticize that teacher as incompetent. Life looks way too simple at Tomi's age, when perfection in all things still seems within reach. So, I looked up Tomi.

You guys don’t know much about school boards and how they operate. These zealots Peter out pretty quickly when faced with the mundane of school board operations. How about budget discussions and taxes that start at three in the afternoon and go on past midnight (seen several of these). Recruiting and hiring a superintendent is always fun as community factions need to be considered. Nothing, but nothing, equals redistricting battles to equilibrate populations and transportation requirements.Comment
