Is Togor the catalyst or is it just the weather?

Not much activity this week. Summers here and folks are busy(some are busy rioting. It's hard work).
Arizona is seriously burnt. The air looks awful. I've thought about moving back to Alaska, but I know AK and Canada burn a lot also. Maybe Nevada, there's not much to burn there between Vegas and Utah.

But there's money in them thar hills. Our governor and all have somehow come up with a good sized chunk of money to do something about wildfires. Some help for people burnt out ect. I really don't know all the details but $100M. I don't know where you were raised, but that's real money. Ah, but, I guess there's plenty where that came from.

"As many Arizonans know, we are in the midst of another catastrophic wildfire season," Ducey said on June 18. "People and pets have been displaced, homes have been burned down, vast swaths of forest and desert have been decimated. It’s been horrible."- That much is true, but it's the New Normal(at least the last couple yrs.) and if you want to live in the sticks expect the sticks to catch fire. Ranchers, on the other hand have to live there. When the desert burns the Californians complain their view is ruined. The ranchers need that little piece of land to maintain the herd. Our fires have exceeded 200K now.

The $100 million appropriation includes $25 million to pay for 720 state prisoners to clear brush and other flammable material under direction of state forestry officials and some contract clearing operations.-
Oh, lets see, $25 million divided by 720 is about $35,000 per inmate. Actually, less than minimum wage by my figures. But in the old days it was, well, less than that. I keep going over that: $25m, 720.
    $25m, 720. I don't know, it just seems like a lot.

I saw on the far lrft media that Biden is going to stop that brush clearing. Why? Because Trump started it up again and it was working!

I know a guy on another forum that has a place in Strawberry and another town,
his main residence was in the path, but winds, weather, and the Fire Fighter guys managed to alter the path enough to spare the area he lives in,

The next town just south might be Pine. That is the nice part of the state. What is burning mostly now is miles and miles of desert. That still is a tragedy. Not to be a lefty green lib but that's tens of thousands of animals that are going to die. Lightening can be just as dangerous but odds are, it's jackasses. Jackasses and the weather. Mostly jackasses. There's so many of them.

100 million dollars is chump change for a fire season, even a slow one. The air show will eat through that in actual fires in a few weeks and I mean darn few. Inmate crews and bull dozers are the best bang for the buck you will ever get. In my opinion it's sizing up in many western states to be a bad season and it can get a lot worse without some accidental intervention. Teams will be activated shortly if they already have not been I better check, no I'm not going out and fight fire anymore no matter how much money they offer.
