Interview with a GOP congressman from Utah who is the head of something called the "Conservative Climate Caucus".

They want the rest of us suckers to believe that the GOP as an institution isn't wholly-committed to trashing the environment in all ways.

But like he says, he's "ready to be judged" in a year to see if they have moved their colleagues at all. Not betting on it.

I know some who will muck junk out of river bottoms, hack & slash invasive species out of public lands, give hours on end to this, all volunteer. Because there's no money in it.

And I know "sportsmen" whose communing with nature consist of driving the ATV out to the deer stand & back. Nothing wrong with hunting, but that's as far as it goes for them. Their interest in nature is confined to what they can take from it.

Not random thoughts about dems at all! When all they do is try to screw up everything imaginable. Climate change? Happens every few thousand years! Tho some countries are pollutting much much more than us and no dem is telling them to clean up their act! China is building more and more electric power plants (powered by coal) than ever before! Are they tooling up for electric autos? India is just one huge heavy smogged in country. Can't see across the street in most areas. The dems want to shut down fossil fueled autos and go all electric, but at the same time shut down electric fossil fuel power plants. Guess they can't see past the male plug-in on their electric cords! Wind turbines and solar panels aren't enough to supply electricity demands, but they will be made in China, go figure! But, yo say, those would be made here! Yeah, but the materials to make them come from.......China, stupid! Meanwhile, 'Ol Joe is getting his panties twisted about covid variations coming into the U.S. Yeah, coming right across our southern border! This is just a build-up for another 'pandemic' style election which will be easy to corrupt votes!

MT agree 100% that reducing fossil carbon emissions is a global challenge.

Yes I do know many and have been dealing with them. Yes, we do workshops (lookup the Quivira Coalition, one of the really excellent ones).
But the ones who are always doing the 'sue and settle' shuffle and going after Equal Access to Justice Act funds are the ones who could care less about the environment.

Example being the woof reintroduction here. The agenda, first with Sage Grouse and now woofs, is to destroy ranching and shut down drilling. Always in the details.
