The conclusion would be that Biden's racist past paled in comparison to Trump's racist present in the minds of many voters.

To the question: why bring Trump into it? Because that is who Biden beat to get into his current office, and if he isn't in that office, this thread would not exist because nobody would care about Biden's past, present or future.
