worked with a young man a few years ago that was looking for an older Prius that someone would dump cheap,
seems the Prius uses a battery that can be replaced or 'fixed' by just replacing cells, not the entire battery pack ,
so a 'dead or nearly dead' car can be fixed relatively cheaply,, compared to an entire new battery pack,
I have a customer that works for Audi, as the shop foreman,
he was telling me that when they service a Hybrid or Ev they have to be trained specifically on them, and that they have to wear all kinds of PPE/hazmat to service them
