    Long Live the USA

Long live the USA and the great people that gave so much to build it up to what it has been in its finest hour. Thank God for the Major Culvers in this world and all the people that sacrificed so much to give this great gift to mankind. The USA!

Interestingly, a lot of non Americans would agree with you. Conversely that is why we tend to follow American politics so closely and have become very concerned about the many social and political issues that we now see in the USA. Chief among these is the sense that too many politicians put their first loyalty to their Party and not to their country

Actually, they put their first loyalty to themselves. Remember what Harry Truman said ?Show me a man that gets rich by being a politician, and I?ll show you a crook.?

Congress is full of rich men.

All the more reason not to give it away to the illegals who have destroyed their countries primarily with overpopulation.

America has endured wars, disease, the great depression, the dust bowl and everything else thrown at us. Our ancestors didn't merely flood into someone elses shores when things got rough.

The Aztecs would sacrifice numerous people at a time. Partly worship and partly because they had plenty to sacrifice. I was just a a get together with a bunch of people. One of the people there was a first gen Honduran. She came here at two yrs. with her illegal parents. Everyone at 28 can say stupid stuff. We were talking aviation with an experienced pilot and she'd interject with some off the wall comment. It'd be, ah, well, and just something to shut her up. I have a feeling she isn't going to get a lot smarter. Or taller.
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

The personal enrichment angle is nothing new. Mark is pointing at something else entirely. Folks know what that is but don't want to talk about it, in the same way they don't want to talk about January 6th, or hate it when the name of a certain politician is brought up.

I'm speaking of Americans leaving America. That's why I mentioned specific events to house a time frame. Not old, old, ancesters flocking here. We all know about that.

Point is America grew this nation with hardships and bloodshed. Other civilizations could do more to better life in their countries instead of merely coming here, mostly illegally.

Allen you bring up a good point,

many moons ago (as mentioned) lots of folks for lots of reasons, religious, economic etc, left Europe to come here,

we have had a influx of folks from various nations arrive (as you mentioned) as well

I am curious tho,, how many Americans are really leaving?
some have for tax reasons, and I am sure there are Ex Pats living abroad, but wondering how many , compared to elsewhere

I'll give you a hint -- you'll never see a news program showing a huge "caravan" of people headed SOUTH!

My nephew lives in Germany, with his German wife. Haven't asked but I assume he left America to have a warmer bed not see greener pastures.

The people who come here are generally a cut above average for their society. For one thing they're willing to take their future into their own hands. So Allen's notion that they come here explicitly to collect fat government checks, no clue where Allen gets that.

What happened on January 6, 2021 was an American tragedy that should never have happened. What happened on January 20, 2021 has proven to be an even larger American tragedy and continues to get worse.

                          funny you say that Vern,

I have bought a collection from a guy, he and his wife were moving to Mexico, because it was cheaper, to retire,

guy was straight up, he did not want to, but he had made some mistakes financially, and they needed to stretch what they had left, and he and the wife felt Mexico was the place to go,

I've heard of some folks moving to Ecuador as well, but we are talking a handful, not caravan

Find me a photo of a crowd of Americans 10 miles long moving to Honduras, and I'll admit I'm wrong.

For sure Mexico, and Belize, retirement destinations.

The ones that come here--they're cheap labor. Tell me the American economy isn't build on cheap labor.

From south of the border, this country has an insatiable appetite for:

                              Illegal drugs

                              baseball players

                              cheap labor.
