It's almost a for sure thing. It seems as though hair sniffer and the rest of the communists are hell bent to get into the next lock down, probably trying to set up the next mid term elections to steal. I'm doing what I can to be ready for the next go around's but it's easy to miss things that you didn't believe would be missing. Garden is doing good and stocked up on beans and butt wipe. This next one will finish off the last of the economy for sure, what are you doing to be ready?
I hope people are preparing for the next lock down

Don't come by until this coming Friday I'm going to Nevada to meet people and I'll be to tired to grill Thursday. Maybe some squash will be of size by then to and throw some on the grill. A couple of squash sliced open and some fresh basil stuck inside then roasted on a smokey grill. Should be some fresh black berries ready to so a tea spoon of powdered sugar sprinkled on a bowl with a big blob of whipped cream. If ya wait a couple more days the Armenian cukes will start coming so a cucumber onion tomato salad would be had to. You know the one with olive oil, vinegar and a bit of sugar and let sit in the fridge for a day or two.I DDUW BO'R DIOLCHComment

when I was a kid I hated cukes, (still don't like pickles, )
but in the past dozen years of so I have learned to appreciated a good bowl of sliced cukes, some onion, little vinegar, and black pepper,
tasty,
one of the best sandwiches I had was while in London,
wheat bread, thin layer of ham, sliced english cukes, and Coleman's mustard,Comment

Last few days I've seen a lot of people are masking up again without being told to. Everyone in my family over age 12 got the shots and we are back to staying away from crowds. We have money coming in and a big garden, lots of canning jars. Oregon west of the Cascades, the ground doesn't really freeze so we leave spuds and root vegetables in the ground until we want to eat them. The biggest issue this year wasn't the virus, it was the lack of water - in May the soil was already semi-dry and crumbly, more like August. This year I mulched everything with oak leaves, right on top of the drip lines.
Razzberries were god this year, getting a second crop of strawberries, and I just canned up 11 pint jars of blackberry jam.
Looks like this year I'ma mix it up with the city hunters on the second Coast Elk season .... where I'm going is a spikes-only unit.

When I lived in Montana all of the hunting shootings I remember the person who was shot was wearing over 200 square inches of blaze hunter orange, something to keep in mind. I prefer to not wear the stuff entirely so even there I would wear a reversible camo orange vest my wife made for me over 30 years ago. Yep, still using the thing. I would reverse it when I got in far enough, I felt far more secure and safe that way but I had my orange with me and on me. The Italian sweet basil will be both dried and put in a jar for use and made into a basil pesto and frozen for later or used fresh. I doubt we will can anymore pickles with the Armenian cukes as we canned almost 50 quarts last season and have plenty so it's fresh cukes and give away stuff. There will be a lot of it to. The carrots will be used fresh as will the squash or given away. Tomatoes we might make one more batch of salsa and a couple more of tomato juice other wise it will be fresh use or give away. As the black berries come off they will be frozen whole and used for a jelly or jam or eaten as they are, I'm not big on eating black berries because of the little seeds cause me problems but without the seeds I love them.I DDUW BO'R DIOLCHComment
