The SCOTUS declared the renter eviction moratorium illegal, but nobody
cares about that. The Female head of the CDC re-instated the moratorium
without any authority to do so, and the Washington DC Appellate Court
has sided with her and says the moratorium can remain in place.
So what's the point in having a Supreme Court ?

My beef with the court is the increasing reliance on the shadow docket. They just decide things out of the blue without hearings and usually without written opinion. No faster way to reduce the legitimacy of the court than to dabble overmuch in that kind of thing.
