Cost US tax payers a lot ..But Free for the Taliban

The ?62bn spoils of war: Taliban militants help themselves to helicopters, hi-tech radios and armoured vehicles amid ramshackle withdrawal of international forces from Afghanistan

Hundreds of fixed-wing aircraft and tactical helicopters left to Taliban fighters

Plus hundreds of thousands of weapons and thousands of armoured vehicles

Sandals are now replaced with combat boots and tailored camouflage uniforms

And how come the government can give all that to the Taliban and you and I can't have weapons like that -- if we pay for them ourselves?

Because of who is in the explosions when they go boom in a village somewhere.

      You had to ask?

BTW, if you want to blow stuff up on your property, you can get a Federal Explosives License.

If you can pass the background check.

Apparently there was a loophole in the deal that did not prevent the Taliban from going for broke and taking over the whole country. So what kind of deal was that anyways and who was the idiot who negotiated it for our side in the first place?

Either that or someone is falling victim to the Sunk Cost Fallacy.

What I read into the 2nd is that what we are allowed to own should far surpass what the government owns otherwise how can a well-regulated militia defend itself?
