Resistance fighters to take on the Taliban ...

Maybe just defending their turf as going head to head with the Taliban
would quickly lead to disaster as they look like amateurs.
I hope the picture of them standing up in a row is not one of their battle tactics.

I wish them luck, as they're going to need it.

If they had done that from the start they would still have our weaponry, have a better chance, and could have destroyed the weapons if they saw they were going to be over run instead of what has happened.

This is what Trump has tried to make them do the past 4 years.

Gunsmoke thought it was a victory. Looks like Allen and Togor can come to agreement on another failure.

If Trump had been the one who sent the troops to Afghanistain to start with you might be right but he was trying to end it. He tried for 4 years to bring our troops home but found out it would be no simple matter as they depended upon the U.S. too much.

And was not stupid enough to precipitate a disaster like this.

The buck was passed to him. The election was stolen so no he didn't pass anything to anybody.

Stolen? Man, you have got to move forward.

Is government competent enough to rig an election, but fail in all other tasks...to include Afghanistan?

I think the Kurds could take it to them in a pretty serious way but we abandoned them to.
