How long before the lights go out in Afghanistan ? ...

and the water stops flowing, and the food runs out ?
Can these nappy heads in nightdresses keep things running,
like the Airport, the trains, the buses ? Will they keep the
food delivery system going so regular people can eat, or will
they just take care of their own fighters ? How about the
economy ? will it collapse ? The Taliban who ran things there
until Bush came a shooting could well be dead now, are there
others who have studied civics in between their killing sprees ?
Have they sense enough to refrain from killing all the bureaucrats ?
    We'll see.
Maybe the Chinese will teach them about how things work, because
you can bet the Chinese will be there before too long.
    Glad I'm not.

You assume they were on in the first place.

DogTag .... we walked away from them in 1989 leaving them without a better option .

then we cried about their country harboring terrorists and spent 20 years rectifying that.... two major failures in 30 years.... should we try again ?

Maybe they will start eating each other, they don't use water except to drink and they don't care which animal is pissing in it while they drink.

Well whatever they do, it won't be to the sound of music.
