Did US Troops obey an illegal order ? ...

On tonight's Hannity show he told of the many witnesses who saw American Citizens
waving their passports at the airport gates. The Taliban had allowed them through
but the troops refused them entry because the State Dept had ordered the gates
be kept closed. There were empty planes on the tarmac ready to evacuate them.
I would have regarded an order to deliberately abandon US Citizens to their fate
at the hands of the Taliban as an illegal order, and I would have disobeyed.
I'm convinced the Press and the Public would have agreed so tying the hands
of the wimpy generals and lunatic State Dept bureaucrats.
So why did our troops not let them through ?

Remember Hannity describes himself as an entertainer, not a newsman. He has no ethical or professional need to check his facts. His only requirement really is that whatever goes into the teleprompter be not falsifiable, like how the existence of God cannot be disproved.
