you saw that he only decision he accepted responsibility for was ending the war; not for any of the consequences that was foreseen by everyone even high school kids who watched the news.

First get the civilians out, then get the equipment out and any that you can't; render useless to the enemy, then and only then, get the military out.

1968-1969 in Korea, I had thermite grenades for all my electronics and crypto equipment. On the lists of equipment we left behind for the Talaban, most damning intelligence wise, was the crypto gear. if not rendered useless, it will be a treasure trove to the Soviets and Chinese. More directly is all the combat gear, now used/worn by the enemy. Can't tell who's who on the TV now. I heard that the enemy is upset (poor babies!) that the helicopters are inop: I hope the GI's did more than that.
