    How Come When God....

...Starts talking to people directly, so often it's to have them do some pretty bad stuff?

      this kinda answers the question

In an interview with deputies, the suspect described himself as "a survivalist" and confessed to being on methamphetamine, Judd said. The suspect's girlfriend told authorities that he had been diagnosed with PTSD and had been acting erratically in the past week, saying that he was receiving visions from God, according to the sheriff.

Medical marijuana would have fixed him right up.
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

Maybe God told him to take the meth?

The thing is, the guy probably believes that God really was speaking to him. As do a lot of others who do fringe things. The rest of us, we don't believe that. But in so doing, we're putting ourselves in a position of judging God, deciding when he is speaking and when he isn't. Supposedly we're not supposed to judge God, though. So a real conundrum!!!!

            only for you,

the guy is on meth, and has PTSD that may or may not have been diagnosed correctly,

don't think any deity was involved here

It helps you not get the electric chair. It's proof that you really are crazy. Which I've never understood; A rabid dog or racoon, you just shoot outright, but people, oh he's mental. It's wasn't his fault.

So you know where to draw the line between crazy guy God and the real thing? On how it's not in the eye of the beholder? Would love to hear your seminar on that!

                  re read my post,

don't think any deity was involved here,

to Dryheats comments, we used to lock them away, sterilize them, drug them up and or electro shock them , and surely other stuff,

but that became a no no in the 70's , now they get released or put in group homes, (which make a lot of $$$ for the group home owners)

                    Lyman,

                    Reread my posts.

This one seems like an easy call. Drugs, PTSD. But enough claim to talk to God that there is grey area for the average Joe when it comes to who to believe.

At which point, man is judging God.
