And so another thriving cottage industry springs to "life" in Mexico meaning fewer lettuce pickers will need to cross the border in this direction...... what's wrong with that ?.
Question is, will Texas now have build a gate or two in their section of wall. Seems this is going to turn out to be financially cheaper for every one involved .... -

Seriously though, both Lyman and Allen are trying desperately to deflect the subject away from the insane law passed in Texas to Democrats somehow. Well are there any Democrat-passed laws like this one on the books? And it's not even the abortion side of it that makes it insane. It's the state-sanctioned vigilantism, turning the extremists loose on society. And yeah, if it's Westboro Baptist grade nuttery at work, no reason not to call it such.Comment

What a childish, immature response. I guess you wore out all your past comments about Trump's tax returns and bone spurs.
If you don't have anything to say you don't have to respond. Trying to change the subject isn't fooling anyone but yourself. We all know you can't face the truth and are embarrassed daily by your leaders idiot moves to destroy America.
Your party IS the taliban plus they have members in our congress who are socialist/communist as we speak.Comment

Well are there any Democrat-passed laws like this one on the books? And it's not even the abortion side of it that makes it insane. It's the state-sanctioned vigilantism, turning the extremists loose on society. Where? Where it really matters, i.e.., constitutional rights that are actually in the COTUS. Consider laws passed to restrict the free exercise of 2nd Amendment rights by citizens, unwarranted use of the legal system to permit the confiscation of firearms/ammunition (i.e., property) from a private citizen merely on the supposed concern that the owner is a "threat" either to themselves or others, restrictions on what firearms may be owned based on rules that defy any rational basis, rules that violate the COTUS, etc., etc., etc. The complaints about Texas and abortion are unconvincing unless and until the same outraged folks complaining so loud about violation of civil rights turn their attention to actual violation of the COTUS by their own supporters. you preach and get all offended when names are called, yet you call right leaning members from Texas Taliban, because off their apparent religious affiliation and opposition to Abortion,
you have a history of belittling or taking down to folks in the south,
you party, the part of the Cancel Culture, is waging a war on anything and everything it does not like or that does not agree with them (even to the point of trying to cancel out Ruth Bader Ginsberg,,,,)
what does the Taliban and ISIS/ISIL/ISIS-T or whatever that faction is in Afganistan is called do?? they erase history, (cancel culture) unless it benefits them or helps them promote their agenda,
sad you don't see the parallels,
and also that you don't realize what you did in your post #3,Last edited by lyman; 09-08-2021, 05:58.Comment

As said before, this is why I switched my user name to Gun Smoke and provided as little info about myself as possible because trolls here use every source of info provided (and even ask) to use against you.
I found it unpleasantly interesting that all you need to become a member here is a made up user name and an email account. If I had any say over the mater a picture ID would be required, not to judge by your race, height, weight, age or if you're an organ donor but to determine that we aren't allowing members from Pakistan and worse places, if any. It would also reduce or eliminate duplicate accounts which can occur with different IP addresses through the simple use of a line phone plus a mobile device like cell phones.Comment

Rasmussen did a poll on the Texas law and like most abortion related matters the result was a split decision with 46% in favor of the law, 43% opposed and the usual 11% who don't know what they think. The sample was 1,000 US likely voters margin of error 3%.
I actually oppose this piece of legislative trickery, not because I'm pro abortion, I'm not. I dislike it because its a sneaky attempt by the government of Texas to avoid accountability and I hate a sneak. Don't expect the law to outlast the first lawsuit filed under it by too long.Last edited by Art; 09-08-2021, 10:10.Comment
