How long is this gender nonsense going to last ? ...

If you had told me ten years ago that this crazyness was in the cards, I would
have had the men in white coats take you away to the loony bin.
But the inexplicable is here with us and it's given us male contestants beating
the crap out of their female counterparts. First it was wrestling, now it's UFC
(something I never watch). Then we have non binary persons, Somewhere
around a hundred genders and to top it all off we have mentrual products
being manufactured for Men. This down the rabbit hole stuff shows no sign
of easing so it seems logical to assume it getting worse. There's an old saying
that things could get worse before they get better, but I see things only
getting worse. Roman civilization collapsed because it's degeneracy invited
the Goths to come ransacking. I fear we're inviting a similar fate, especially
    considering our present leadership.

    An example:

Has the art of argument or discussion died along with free speech ?
I open threads hoping for other peoples' thoughts on the subject, yet all I get is answers
that hover between one word (Lyman) now six words Any advance on six ?

        well,,,,,,

it will last as long as people are pushed to change ,

there have always been a few that were confused, or thought (and maybe are) one sex in another sex's body,

but then it started to get a bit cray cray and it will not end until all are identified and treated equally,

odd thing tho, some if not most of those that go off on the different versions beyond M and F, have a very high suicide rate,

It's like the saying goes, "Want in one hand, post in another. See which one fills up faster."

Well DT the truth is that there has always been some grey between men and women.

Nature is full of examples of this, beyond H. sapiens.

As far as all of this stuff in public now, not kept under wraps, is it really that much of a disaster?

Seems to me that some more traditional societies, like say Afghanistan under the Taliban, where women are locked away aren't any better. And God Only Knows what goes on--unspoken--behind the concrete walls of their compounds, or their mud huts or caves or whatever.

British Machismo died to a large extent in the Somme Offensive of 1916. They raised a generation of he-men and sent them to slaughter by Krupp-Maxim machine guns.

A lot of it isn't to my tastes either. But to be honest an older generation not recognizing the value in what the younger generation is up to is as old a phenomenon as old-age itself.

there are rumors,, that I have been told are true, by folks that have been there, about what is accepted in private behind compound walls is way different that what is accepted when in public,
boggles my mind that folks accept that behavior, esp folks in the west,

re WW1,, many have said that the best of Britain died before 1917,, and that has caused many issues in the time post war (same can be said of France)

now as far as the hienz 57 variety of genders and pronouns,, that has gotten a bit , for lack of a better word, silly in the past decade,

there have been gays since there were people,
there have been men wanting to be women, women wanting to be men just as long

              the rest likely as well,

              which begs the question,

Does dogtag want to be called Loretta?

Sexual dysphoria exists. It exists physiologically in XY women but more commonly in the psychological area. People who deal with trans-sexuality obviously have a problem and shouldn't be persecuted. The problem comes when the fist of them and their supporters doesn't stop short of someone else's nose.

This is especially true in the physical area. Trans girls and women have an unfair advantage competing against biological women in sports no matter how much their testosterone is suppressed. Biological men have thicker, denser and heavier bones which means they can attach bigger muscles. The hip structure of women, especially the angle at which the femurs come off the hip (Q angle) alone puts most women at a disadvantage. A mediocre male athlete, even with his testosterone artificially reduced is going to have an advantage over the vast majority of women in the same activity. This doesn't even take into account that the vast majority of trans women are "biologically intact," Kaitlin Jenner at last report being a famous example. I'll believe birth biology makes no difference when I see trans boys beating the guys.

In sports this is an uncomfortable truth. In the military, on the other hand, I believe it can actually be dangerous, especially with the social and political pressure to incorporate women and trans men into areas where the vast majority would ordinarily be non competitive.

                        Again, my devalued $.05 worth.

...and Lyman, Monty Python hits the nail on the head once again.

An Infantryman carries about 95 lbs in combat. Any less, and he puts himself and his unit in danger.
