Hey Art I'm with you that Biden has to figure something out, and it might torque off half his support.

I'm also with you that the word got our about a "kinder, gentler deal at the border" with a changing of the guard in the WH. I think that reaction among the tired, poor and huddled masses caught those folks off guard.

Normally changing one POTUS for another doesn't generate that kind of buzz in immigration circles, does it?

I would point out however that our asylum laws need to be fixed by Congress, preferably in a bipartisan way, meaning your side would have to do a deal with the other side. What was being done before Biden wasn't built for the long term, and what good is a wall when people surrender at the gate anyways.

Oh, God. Trump MADE them "steal" the election. He was our only hope and he blew it. Now we are going to have a couple thousand losers protest at the capitol over something that's long over. But they are the kind of whiny bitches you meet everywhere. They're the "balls Kickers" you knew in high school. Gutless. In the mean time Haiti is sending ten thousand of their smartest flea infested over here. We are lucky to have them. You don't see massive protests at the Border Patrol headquarters.

when I was in the Meat Biz,, one store had a big Haitian population in the area (Maids,,, and live in domestic help)

This is going to real interesting if these people just storm through what ever is stopping them. If you look at the numbers its equivalent to a WW2 division penned up in the area. It must be a mess, sanitation issues, water issues etc.

I know a bit about the law as I've had family picking up Cubans and Haitians at sea and sending them back, but now it seems wrong to send them back at sea when the border is wide open for anyone to walk across.
