no one is in danger of getting so many that they will be autobanned,

I did edit one of your posts because you did toss out some insults at forum members. Touched them as little as possible, try not to change the thrust of the argument.

You're right it was an innocuous thread, and it stayed that way and there was no reason to make a mountain out of a molehill. Hopefully we all just find a groove where we can laugh, argue, etc., within limits.

I explain the reason if I make edits, and there have only been I think two in the past months. One discussed already.

Another for a needless vulgarity.

No demerits given, just the minimal action of cleaning up the post.

People are free to edit their own posts too, if they decide the first go was a little rough. The software supports it. Some people think editing is somehow an admission of guilt, but I don't see it that way. You want to clean up your own posts, by all means have at it.

Just to clarify things for others I posted a thread about the rules not being easy to find here on this forum. After finding them, I deleted my thread and that is what brought up my name above.
