We need more eighteen wheelers on the road

So there are 100 container ships sitting off shore of CA. When are we going to get that "whatever" from China? I order something almost once a month. I don't know how many containers are on one of those ships but I'll bet it's approaching 100. So when they finally get enough Mexicans to drive all the trucks(think driving is dangerous now?) that can carry twenty five thousand containers to the Walmarts what are the rest of us going to do to get from point A to point B? 3.5 Trillion ought to build roads for trucks and additional roads for people who just want to drive down the road on a Sunday afternoon. Or those big cargo helos can fly them. I'm thinking ahead. That would be money spent better than figuring out how to make glaciers rebuild themselves. Hey, it's coming. You only get 3.5 trillion on special occasions. Spend it well.

It's as if the forced Covid down time caused a whole bunch of people in low-paying jobs to take a fresh look at their situation and wonder if it's all worth it. Well there was no denying the economic trends since the 1980s, that as the economy added wealth it was concentrated at the top. Get enough of that over time and it shows up somewhere else.

Trains. Screw more tractor-trailers. Just a bunch of wasted effort, expense. Load that stuff on trains. Rail is the cheapest way to move anything ... other than water. Only use trucks to deliver from rail to retail, etc. Supply chain built around trucks is just not a good idea ... except for the petroleum producers. JMHO. Sincerely. bruce.

          Collusion!?

"They" can't take our guns, too many out there, but "they" have made it hard for the general population to be able to use them. "They" have shuttered small businesses causing widespread unemployment. Don't worry, "They" will give you enough money to make up for lost wages. Artificial food shortage, higher energy costs....if you can find it and afforf it.

The government that controls the food, controls the population.

Food surpluses are what cause human civilization to form. Before that just small bands scrounging on the land. And back to that if food production fails.

Arouond here and N.M. the cross country train tracks kind of parallel I-40. You can see long trains moving across the desert all day and night.

Airships, electric of course. Can't carry much, but it will help with climate change.
And when we've all starved to death, no more C02. That too will help climate change.
