60,000 Haitians. This is how it happened

    https://www.wkbn.com/news/12000-hait...activist-says/

They are South Americas problem. Keep them there. I can't imagine that they needed "cheap labor". How cheap does it get?

-15,000 crossed the Rio Grande at Del Rio, Texas.

Most were released into the United States but some were sent back to Mexico and find themselves back in places like Tapachula.-

And when 60,000 arrive here most will be released into the United States too I suppose. Just wonderful.

Joe Biden couldn't have done a better job of wrecking the American economy if he had been a Russian agent. And he did it quickly.

Or how the Olympics ruined America. If you can't afford to host the Olympics, don't sign up for it. 180,000 people were imported into S. America but now they don't need them Ship them North and every country sends them to the next country. Of course the buck stops here.

Acts of nature and dumb decisions aren't necessarily compatible.

Another secret advocate for planned economies? The pandemic moved a lot of economic activity to buying stuff instead of services. This at the same time that producing stuff was harder because a lot of stuff gets made indoors in tight quarters. Exactly the places that had trouble operating in the pandemic.

Isn't it good to have a plan? Maybe Biden didn't wreck the economy but he sure is doing some really dumb stuff. I hope we cough up anough money to get the gangsters in Haiti to let the do-gooders go.

Are you implying that the pandemic affected the oil industry? Biden payed people to sit at home and wait on the check, and some just never got around to going back to work.

Not implying it, but I'll state it for a stone cold fact which you can easily confirm with a bit of research of your own.

                  1. Oil demand cratered last spring.

                  2. Inventories in the US were sky high, with low prices.

                  3. Domestic crude oil producers lost a ton of money while this was going on

                  4. Drilling stopped. With fracking, new drilling is continuously necessary so when drilling stops it naturally means a downstream delay in production.

5.As demand started to rebound in 2021, the industry was slow to add production, preferring a period of high prices while existing inventory is drawn down.

Of course they're in the oil business and one can only sell existing inventory for so long. Problem is some of these producers are financially shaky and when that happens it takes time to sort that out too.

I argue it is nonsensical to sing the virtues of de-regulation when times are good, but then immediately hang it on the government when the private sector runs into trouble.

Biden is encouraging OPEC to pump more precisely because he knows this is the fastest way to get supply into the market. He's doing exactly what you would want him to do yet you criticize.

From the Institute for Energy Research:

Gasoline prices are high and increasing because world oil demand growth is outpacing oil supply output, thereby increasing oil prices and gasoline prices. This is mainly due to the lower oil production because of the lowered demand from the coronavirus pandemic and the supply cuts by OPEC+. Further exasperating world markets are the geopolitical factors occurring in the Middle East, combined with uncertainties of government policies in the United States, the world?s largest oil producer. Gasoline prices are further being boosted because of lack of available refining capacity due to the recent freeze and lowered demand from the coronavirus pandemic. President Biden?s policies are not helping in that he has killed the Keystone XL pipeline that would bring lower priced oil from Canada and lower transportation costs from the Bakken fields of North Dakota and surrounding states. He has also placed a moratorium on oil and gas drilling on federal lands that could affect future production.

Right....the oil lobby says .. never let an opportunity go to waste.

Anyone who thinks Keystone is affecting US supply....I've got a stock tip for them....real mover...Houston-based energy company called Enron. Sure fire winner in the markets, you can't lose.

Might cause some damage. But no brain damage.
