A Marine thwarted an armed robbery

'I wasn't gonna sit around': The ex Marine, said who thwarted an armed robbery reveals he would have been shot but the gun JAMMED

James Kilcer, 32, has been making the rounds since his act of heroism was caught on video and broadcast on local and national news stations

Kilcer was on his way to work at the Yuma County Sherriff's Department when he stopped at the convenience store in a Chevron gas station
The ex-Marine saw someone walk in the door with a gun in his hand and acted immediately

He says his life was saved because the suspect, who turned out to be a 14-year-old boy, was unable to fire the loaded gun because it was jammed

      Sump-tin’ fishy here! . . . .
How is it the auto was “jammed” when it hadn’t been fired yet?
Ya’ think the scum-bag walked in the store without a chambered round?

Over the years I heard or read stories about heroes who didn't get shot because the gun jammed. Odds are against it. I had a pistol(it's usually a pistol) that wouldn't fire two rds. in a row. I took it to a gun shop and the guy test fired it with a couple different manufactures. It wouldn't work right with Norinco(Chinese). But it would fire once. Gun jammed: a lot of stories. One's that saved someone.
