    Absolute power corrupts absolutely ...

Lord Acton must have had Pelosi in mind when he made that "Power corrupts ..."
    insightful pronouncement.
She via her husband made a killing years back via Coal legislation
    championed by her. Now this:

The day traders are watching the Pelosi's stock transactions since they seem to always purchase the right stock at the right time. The Pelosi's invested $1 million or so in Tesla stock, and the government announced a huge purchase of electric vehicles a few days later. it is all in timing.

How do day traders know Pelosi's transactions????

Sounds like something dreamed up by someone with no clue about the markets work.

          They're great in soup.

Seriously though....people willing to turn a blind eye to skeevy GOP stock deals shouldn't bark at Pelosi. Just makes them look silly.

Every now and again someone gets the idea to tighten the ethics rules for Congress and then there's the pushback about how this will hurt the businessman types so no don't do it. That pushback comes from Republicans and NJ/NY Democrat types. So here things sit. You helped make the soup, so enjoy your bowl, is how I see it.

Remember when Pelosi said a couple weeks ago...."Capitalism is not good for America". As her and her blind husband sit on 155 million in assets!

Maybe you don't know how it works?

The Ethics in Government Act requires members of Congress to file transaction reports when they — or their spouses or dependent children — buy or sell stock or securities for any transaction that exceeds $1,000.

                which people?

insider deals are insider deals, regardless of the politics, blind, or blind eye or not,

show us a politician on either side of the aisle, that has not benefitted from his/her office

I didn't specify anyone, just that it's been going on for a long time.

I can name one politician who left office with less than he had when he entered office. Can anyone guess who he is?

I must say your solution to the problem is.....interesting.

Say someone is ranting about Biden being a dictator.

Togor says "why are you only now caring about POTUS acting like a dictator, after 4 years of Trump? you missed ALL of his claims of having 'absolute power'?"

Lyman says "why are you talking about Trump?"

My question is better than yours. Your methods are insidious, to try to pretend that the awful thing didn't happen. If you were proud of the Trump years you would act like it and defend him vociferously. Instead you try to throw it all under a blanket.

I may disagree with a Major Tom or an Allen about a guy like Trump, but you know what? They have more guts than you by far. If forced to stick it out in a tornado shelter for awhile those guys would be a lot easier to take for just that reason.

                          thanks for proving my point,,

once found at fault, you turn it personal and pretend to be the victim

and once again, your version of awful is pretty odd,, considering what was done and glossed over, before and after trump,

does the DU put our online classes to teach you do act like you do, or is it a requirement in the university system?
