Royal Marines versus US Marines ...

When there aren't many of you (7,600) you'd better be good.

Yeah, you're right Lyman. Everything the Dly Mail says is a lie,
especially when you don't like what they say.
Beats me why the Paper is still in business and so popular.

The US Marines are under threat of being discharged because of no vax.
That must be a great incentive for them. If that's what the woke leadership
thinks of them then I don't know why they bothered showing up.

WAAAY off! The US Marines were formed on 10 November, 1776, and hence are older that the US Navy

don't get your knickers in a twist,

          they do decent articles,
          and have some great photographers,

however the suck at the picture titles and apparently charts,

the US Marines were not founded in 1884

Well at least tou got the Knickers in a Twist correct (Brit version).

Vern says 1776 before the US Navy.
I assume US Marines are Navy (like the Royal Marines) in which case they
must have formed at same time as Navy. I'm guessing.

Like all British propaganda, slanted in their favor. This is America, peddle this foolishness to those who might believe it.

Nope. The Marines are the second oldest US Service (the oldest being the Army on June 14th, 1775,)

That's a bit ironic coming from you.

Are you suggesting that a British tabloid rag should not be corrected when false reporting on the United States Marine Corps?

The funny part is the British Marines were under the command of another US Marine unit...which consequently defeated another American unit. So the US Marines beat themselves...celebratory crayons for everyone!

When you conduct FTXs with no OPFOR then the brass' priorities are security-making sure people aren't sleeping on guard duty-and weapons security. And if your OPFOR is your mirror image -same equipment, tactical doctrine, etc., how much do you think you'll learn?

                              Ray,

If a man is constantly tracking dog poop into the house because he fails to check his shoes, and his wife yells at him for it, is

"you're still obsessed with dog poop!"

really a wise thing to say to his wife?

Not everyone likes here the DM digs at the United States.
