Gabbard is an interesting mix. She's a practicing Hindu and a vegan but also a Military Police Major in the Army Reserve who served in Iraq. She endorsed Sanders in 2016, but voted "present" in the Trump impeachment proceedings. She previously opposed same sex marriage and civil unions by gay people but has since repudiated those positions. She is basically a center left Democrat some of whose views now align with centrist Republicans. She's too conservative to win another election in Hawaii or to get the Democrat nomination for president but I think you're correct, one shot, she would love the job.

I was hoping she would run in the 2020 election as an independent to pull some of the less liberal democrat votes from biden, spliting the votes and thus giving Trump a guaranteed win. Hillary was about to come un-glued thinking she would do this though it was just fine that they did it with Ross Perot, having mostly conservative views, to assure her husband would win in the 1992 election.

Trump and many others will get my vote first. As far as a woman prez though I would vote for Nikki Haley who also wants the job but said she would not run against Trump.

Maybe some day Tulsi will switch parties and run. Plus, like Nikki, she is easy on the eyes.
