    The Secretary of Energy

Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm on Friday laughed at a question about boosting America's domestic oil production, calling it "hilarious."

Remind me again the name of the US Government-owned Energy company? The one that she can just pick up the phone and order drilling?

There's no shortage of leases out there. If US producers want to produce more, they have to drill more. But drilling costs money, so right now the companies are content to sell at high prices and make money.

What's that you say? Evil oil companies profiting from "misery" at the pump is un-American?

It never ceases to amaze me how supposedly committed capitalists and believers in the free market complain about the government when the free market bites them in the rear, as markets do from time to time. It's like this board is loaded with disaffected Democrats who want the government to solve all problems immediately.

Now they're considering shutting down another pipeline from Canada. She'll get to laugh again.

She's Canadian, maybe that means her mouth?

Oatmeal for brains Biden always brags about how he "created" 2 million new jobs! What a load od BS when the number was actually about 200,000! Now he is destroying jobs with covid mandates, shutting down more U.S. pipelines and drilling for oil! This nation was once independent with oil production and needed no foreign oil! Now drooling Joe is begging OPEC for oil which they are ignoring! Mean while, ships cannot get unloaded and no truck drivers to deliver goods! Again Joe blames Trump! Joe's covid mandates only apply to U.S. citizens while 2 million ILLEGALS cross the border unvaccinated or tested! Airline pilots are fighting the mandates and warning that new hire pilots are not ready for flying safely! I guess some of those ILLEGALS can fly our planes. Christmas and Thanksgiving has all but been canceled! Why? Because the muslims (O'Bammas friends) don't believe in those holidays! Make no mistake...O'Bamma is running his 3rd term!

And don't you just love how the three mosquitoes rant about Trump's "comb over" -- all the while knowing Biden has hair transplants.

True. They have huge influence, even control on crude oil production and petroleum refining too.

The U.S. government doesn't have to own the energy company, they control it through regulations. In Biden's haste to undo everything Trump he has hamstrung the energy sector.

Biden's farting for the Duchess of Cornwall amused her much more than he is amusing the American public.

That system of government control of industry is called "Fascism."

The term used by fed agencies is, "Management of Lifestyles", i.e. manipulating regulations, taxes, fees, limits on production,
(Aside: If you don't believe that gov't limits production on refineries, work in one for a while, and see the fees levied when they exceed "allowed production" for a given 24 hour period!)
to steer folks towards what *they think best*, e.g. driving fewer miles.

The amazing thing here is that you were in the oil business yourself, and probably still have assets invested there. So you know that the industry is focused right now on profits not adding production.

You know this for a stone cold fact yet here you are playing the game--Joe Six-Pack blaming the Government for high energy prices.

You are criticizing Biden for not doing the very thing (compel more crude production) that if he did actually do, you would call him Fascist. That's mind-blowing in an astonishing number of ways.

Fear is driving the market right now. The moronic decisions coming out of the democrat controlled government is causing fear and panic in the energy market. Just as in the stock market, the energy market is too subject to market hysteria. Trump had let the energy market develop, and Biden's handlers could care less about wrecking the U.S. economy in destroying what Trump accomplished in the energy market. Don't believe it; just look at what you are paying for gas now, and look back 12 months, and you are going to pay more.

Then see what happens if they close the Michigan pipeline. You ain't seen nothing yet if they do.
