Among the most disturbing is one that threatens the lives of the judge's children, promises 'pay back,' and states that Rittenhouse 'won't live long' if acquitted

Another reads, 'Enjoy your term, judge, it's going to be your LAST. If I ever meet you in person, I fully intend to spit directly into your face'

Numerous emails are sent anonymously or using pseudonyms

Judge Schroeder promised he would 'deal with' the senders and said, 'I wouldn't want to be those people'

being a judge comes with making a lot of enemies, some of whom are capable of killing you. The case of the assassination of"Maximum John" Wood comes to mind right off the bat.

Judges, especially old Judges can get quirky and cranky. I've sat in court with quite a few. Lawyers have to be careful about making a judge into an enemy. There was a Federal District Judge in Houston who had a palpable dislike for one particular lady Assistant U.S. Attorney and he didn't mind humiliating her in court, never in front of a jury which could get him in trouble, but in situations where she was helpless to do much about it except complain to her boss. I'll admit not caring for the woman myself but...the judge would sometimes go way over the line knowing nothing could be done about it. On one occasion she appeared before him for a pretrial hearing (IIRC) and the first thing he said when taking the bench was Ms. "X" when you come to court I expect you to be appropriately attired and that includes a brassiere. Yes it actually happened. Commentary from other agents and court personnel revolved around the point that the woman was so flat chested how would the judge be able to tell under a blouse and jacket she wasn't wearing a bra??

When it comes to Schroder; he's actually been fairly patient with prosecution shenanigans and has kept any butt chewing away from the jury. The lefty Woke, BLM, ANTIFA, Black Panther etc. crowd are shocked to find, after listening to nothing but their own propaganda, that in this case there is very little case at all. It's turned into an "emperor has no clothes situation." Well, they've got to blame somebody so its the judge who is actually a Democrat but like a lot of people his age has a positive view of his country.
