People bought guns to defend themselves - but did they ? ...

I was amazed looking at the riots, looting and burning that went on
in City after City where the populace did nothing. Surely seeing thugs
preparing to set fire to your house or place of business deserves some
kind of response beyond filling a bucket with water. I thought somebody
or several somebodies would utilize the weapon they recently purchased.
No one did, but that might not last especially if the rioters decide to vent
their discontent at the Rittenhouse verdict and break out thei matches
again. You can push people so far before they decide enough is enough.
Personally I would not sit idly by while thugs approached my house with
firebrands. But I'm not a believer in turning the other cheek. Nor am I
a dumb democrat. frightened of his own shadow.

Actually, it sounds like you're frightened very much.

      interesting topic,

      in the past 2 years,

I have seen Asians buy guns, first time buyers, because they were afraid they may be prosecuted by the public at large due to the Cooties
I have seen African Americans buy guns, some cause the think whitey is bad, but mostly due to what other African Americans were doing (those funky peaceful but not so peaceful protest)
I have seen the soccer mom type buy a shotgun or handgun cause they need to be ready, toilet paper etc etc
I have seen white folks buy firearms due to all of the above,

and honestly, every other variation that you can think off,
including, a great deal of money that was provided by both working at home, and the Govt,,,

I can say that personally, (The business my brother and I own) is having the best year we have ever had,
between picking up some very good estates, and the market is going crazy on some prices, we will have, thankfully, a very good year, even better than last, which was damn good

No, not frightened, but prepared! Would you let someone burn down your house or business? If you would, then you are just dumb!

This video relates to Koreans in the 1992 LA riots. Koreans are absolutely a group that is capable of sending you to your maker if you try to take their stuff. other Asians not necessarily as
          much. Culture does matter.

You're debating with a man who's never been in a life-or-death situation, never heard a shot fired in anger, and never worn a uniform. His "knowledge" in these matters is based on his own imagination. And if your experience denies his imagination, then you're wrong.

In Viet Bam, the bad guys left the ROK troops alone, they understood Asian cultural retribution.
