    Is it still coming down?

Joe: Is it still coming down?

Bob: I've never seen it go up.

Smart retort about rain. Has anyone every seen inflation really come down?

Newton did't take inflation into account when the "apple fell on his head"

Deflation is bad news. Japan had it for awhile and it set them back.

Psychology becomes.... don't buy today because it will be cheaper tomorrow. Has a way of just putting a ton of sand in the gears.

Venezuela. Before that it was Argentina. I read a book about it by a guy who lived it. I would have to re-read it before I could tell any stories. Here is the Wiki:

Stuff like this is like the weather. It's like living in Tornado Alley. In some places. Thing I remember from the book; the currency would change week from week. They would scrap a currency and invent another one days apart.

Deflation can be bad when money supply is low, but people have plenty of money to spend now. A general decrease in prices is a good thing as it gives the buyer greater purchasing power. Drops in the price of essentials can have a positive effect on spending. A drop in prices allows people to buy more which promotes growth and gives value back to money.

Souonds complicated at first, but a little thought and it's simple. Somehow, when it happens there will be a hue and cry. Buy low, sell high. Doesn't get much simpler than that. That's for folks who have money to play with. Now, the po folks will cry as usual. I couold cry a little; I need, oh, about 300 thousand to start that Rain Forest tourist business. I never get what I want.
