The COVID pandemic stalled the economy and it is no where back to where it was pre pandemic. For example there were 163.4 million Americans working in August 2019, 6 months after the virus arrived. Today there are 157.5 people employed, almost 6 million less.
Inflation is getting crazy and people are investing in stocks and property as a hedge. Wait until layoffs get serious because people can?t afford to buy things or travel.
