I don't get this part- Bidens bill

-Tax break for high-income earners: Households could deduct up to $72,500 in state and local taxes from their federal taxes, up from $10,000, retroactive to 2021 taxes?a measure that would overwhelmingly benefit those making more than $200,000 a year, according to an analysis by the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, an anti-deficit think tank-

Seems like the opposite of what he wants. Corporations get taxed more, that I understand. Not that I agree with it altogether.

Another thing I don't get is, how do two senators torpedo the whole bill? Oh, I see. So, none of the other Dem senators have the guts. Or as it is protrayed, they are just raking in tons of money doing this.

Blue states have higher property taxes (in general). The deduction passes the bill onto the rest of us.

Old friend lives in development which straddles the Baltimore City/County line. He pays 2X+ the taxes as the same house two doors up the street. My cousin lives in a high end town north of Chicago. Incredible taxes but at least the schools are good, which is more than I can say for my friend in Charm City who had to send his to private schools to boot.
