It's biology. The SARS-COV-2 virus has a lot of genetic material, which means a lot of chances to mutate.

With any luck between cases and vaccines the virus will stop acting novel soon and the bodies won't stack up so quickly.

Allow me to point out there is only one way to determine the death rates are the same -- and that is to let people die and count the corpses.

Infection rates are very high with this variant, and in some areas they have remained high. However, nothing is suggesting it is more deadly. I'm sure if the data existed, we'd be hearing that.

Truth is Lyman everytime I lose a friend to covid/government narrative I kind get in a bad mood .

Covid. It is what it is. Our city/county infection numbers are at rock bottom, but but folks are still dying. If it were no big deal, there would not be so many corpses in mortuaries waiting burial. Recently one of the football coaches at the local HS died of Covid. He was 31 years old. Left a wife and two children. He was not vaccinated. Got another funeral on Monday. Lady was fully vaccinated and in otherwise good health. She was in the ICU for almost 3 months. She was told on Friday that her condition was terminal. Long term nursing home on oxygen or hospice were her choices. She had them take out the tube. She died that night. From talking with the family, it was not unexpected. She got what is called a breakthrough infection. Her senior citizen mother is recovering. I will be doing the booster when available. Living in this era of Covid is about like fishing in an area where one commonly expects to encounter Grizzly bears. You don't normally carry a big gun when fishing. But, around stuff that can bite/claw you to death, you take precautions. A 12 ga. on a sling or a .44 Mag. in a holster are not fashion statements. They are what you carry with you when you are in bear country. We are all permanent residents of Realville. Covid is part of reality in Realville. We all just have to deal with it. Sincerely. bruce.
