    GEEZERS

    > >> Typical U.S. household headed by a person age 65+ has a net worth 47 times greater than by someone under 35.
    > >>
    > >> They like to refer to us as senior citizens, old fogies, blue hairs, geezers, and in some cases dinosaurs. Some of us are "Baby Boomers" getting ready to retire, others are from the Greatest Generation already retired. We walk a little slower these days and our eyes and hearing are not what they once were. We worked hard, raised our children, worshiped our God and have grown old together.
    > >>
    > >> In school we studied English, history, math, and science, which enabled us to lead America into the technological age. We still use two spaces after a period when typing. Most of us remember what outhouses were, many of us with firsthand experience. We remember the days of telephone party-lines, $.25 gasoline, and milk and ice being delivered to our homes.
    > >>
    > >> We are probably considered old fashioned and outdated by many But there are a few things you need to remember before completely writing us off. We won World War II, fought in Korea and Vietnam. We can quote ?The Pledge of Allegiance?, and know where to place our hand while doing so. We wore the uniform of our country with pride, and lost many friends on the battlefield. We didn't fight for the Socialist States of America; we fought for the "Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave." We wore different uniforms but carried the same flag.
    > >>
    > >> We know the words to the ?Star Spangled Banner,? ?America,? and ?America the Beautiful? by heart, and you may even see some tears running down our cheeks as we sing. We have lived what many of you should have read in history books and we feel no obligation to apologize to anyone for America.
    > >>
    > >> Yes, we are older and slower these days but rest assured, we have at least one good fight left in us. We love this country, fought and died for it, and now we are going to save it. It is our country and nobody is going to take it away from us. We took oaths to defend America against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and that?s an oath we plan to keep. There are those who want to destroy this land we love but, like our founders, there is no way we are going to remain silent.
    > >>
    > >> It was mostly the young people of this nation who elected Obama and the Democrat Congress. You fell for the "Hope and Change" which in reality was nothing but "Hype and Lies? from your college professors. You youngsters need to taste socialism and see evil face to face to understand you don't like it after all. You make a lot of noise, most are all too interested in their careers or "Climbing the Social Ladder" to be involved in such mundane things such as patriotism and voting. Many of those who fell for the "Great Lie" in 2008 are now having buyer's remorse With all the education we gave you, you didn't have sense enough to see through the lies and instead drank their 'Kool-Aid.?
    > >>
    > >> Well, don't worry youngsters, the Grey-Haired Brigade is here, and in 2016 we took back our nation. We may drive a little slower than you would like, but we get where we're going, and in 2022 we're driving to the polls again by the millions.
    > >>
    > >> So the next time you have the chance to say the Pledge of Allegiance, stand up, put your hand over your heart, honor your country, and thank God for the old geezers of the "Gray-Haired Brigade."
    > >>
    > >> Footnote: This is spot on. I am another Gray-Haired Geezer signing on. I will circulate this to other Gray-Haired Geezers all over this still great country. Can you feel the ground shaking? It's not an earthquake, it?s a STAMPEDE. And, you and I are members.
    > >>
    > >> In God we STILL trust!
    > >>
    > >> Signed: Proud Deplorable

Good write up but when we DO try to speak out against tyranny we are arrested by the socialist/communist congress, with help of the media, who are trying to use Jan 6th to destroy the entire GOP, the party that speaks the constitution and voter integrity.

All crimes commited on a daily basis are fine, OK, expected, and the rights of the criminals. Just don't speak out against the government.

The younger generations did not have to work for peace and independance. They were born into it. Illegals crossing our borders--same thing. Instead of trying to better their countries they simply overpopulate and flood our country expecting to be taken care of.

That generation also outsourced the jobs to China and decided to invade Iraq for no good reason. So the country pissed away billions upon billions of dollars and thousands of lives in the sand while the Chinese grew rich selling us stuff that we used to make for ourselves.

Not sure that generation deserves a Big Pat On The Back for doing well in a time when success was easier to achieve. When they came of age, school was more affordable, union jobs provided a solid middle class opportunity, and politicians could work together when they had to, and knew where the line was. Now there is no line not to be crossed, environmental disasters are piling up, and the country has no clear direction. Great job, Geezers?

Baby Boomers have the highest opinion of themselves.

              Just ask 'em!

There is the valid complaint that the Geezers vote liberal on the national level to ensure the gravy train of age-specific benefits keeps rolling and conservative on the local level, voting down school budgets, etc.
Many of these geezers who did not help their kids pay for college or anything else, made them load up on student debt,e.g., gave them big lectures on learning to "man up" and "take responsibility" are the same ones who, when they grow old and gray and sick, whine and complain that those children they couldn't be bothered with now can't be bothered with them. They're the same ones who tried to foist the raising of their children onto grandparents, schools and youth groups-the military-who complain that their children show no "gratitude" for their parents "sacrifices."
We have a certified "geezer" in the White House, do you sleep soundly knowing that?

Remember, "They" asked of we wanted Regan to answer the red phone at 3 AM? In their allusions to his age. Now, they don't say it about Old Slo Joe Biden. Maybe the conservative movement should resurface the democrat "mantra" and apply it to Slo Joe every chance we get.

Maybe we should begin to recirculate Ronnie's modified quote "Are you better off now than you were a year ago? (or 2 yrs ago). We should apply them both just like in "Atlas Shrugged".... "Who's John Galt?".....In fact I think we've done that with his self acknowledged "Let's go Brandon". It shows up more and more.

I filled up the car the other day and there were stickers on the pumps, next to the prices, saying we can thank Joe.

I think Woke is becoming awakened.

Maybe Joe needs more trips to Deleware (100+ trips out of 365 days so far) for "special treatments".

According to todays geniuses there has NEVER been an American patriot, or hero. Audie Murphy was just a bigoted racist. Johne Wayne was a draft dodging coward, But Bill Clinton is a hero because he dodged the draft.

This whole country is upside down. Good is bad and bad is good. A convicted criminal with a 30 year history of crimes is a hero but the cop that made only one mistake in 30 years is in jail.

                    Stupid is?.

A lot Geezers are from the in-between birth years, someone born in 1937 say, would have gone through WWII as a child, Korea as an adolescent, too old for Vietnan, they'd never have experienced the really bad times, enjoyed all the good times, never had to make the sacrifices or experienced the hardships.
When WWI started George Bernard Shaw (b.1856) said the draft should start at about age 50 or so. He said wars are started by men of that age, they should have to fight them.

Politicians should have to fight them -- then there wouldn't be any wars.
