The average cost of consumer goods has risen for the sixth consecutive month, Labor Department revealed

Energy costs, including fuel and used cars, rose an average 27 percent in January from the same time in 2021

Prices at the pump are up by 40 percent while grocery costs are up 7.4 percent, guaranteeing a broad swath of Americans have felt the economic ramifications personally over the last month

January's inflation numbers outpaced average wage growth for the same month, which was 5.7 percent

People got money. People want/need stuff. Lots f things/stuff stuck at ports waiting to be unloaded/shipped by truck to destinations. So, people w/ money buy what they want/need and can find available for sale. Sellers can only see what they have in hand and have no way to anticipate what items will be available and at what price. So, they LIFO at prevailing price. Doesn't matter who is in the WH. Yes it is a situation that would most certainly be used by demokrats against Trump. Why are we whining about this? We are in great shape! There has not been a single sorry tweet or mangled outburst coming from a maniac in the White House for the past year. Who cares that retirees and common working people are going to be in worse conditions than they have been since the Great Depression by this time next year.

And no, it actually was not Jimmy Carter in 1972 that caused the problems, it was the two prior Presidents. Nixon forced radical Socialist wage and price freezes that merely delayed and made the problems that followed, worse. Those freezes also had unintended consequences we are still paying dearly for today. They allowed employers to add prerequisites (Perks) instead of salary increases to hold key employees. Employer provided medical insurance was what bought on the current unsustainable crazy medical pricing.

Now it is looking like we are going to get Hiliarly who will be 1,000 X worse than either Trump or Biden. She has 175,000 new Democrats crossing the Southern Border every month, 2M per year, and almost all of them are being transported to the swing states.

His best move would be to burst an asset bubble and cause a huge recession with deflation. Yes I think he could pull that off.
