Keeping the assembly plants going is the impetus for shutting down the trucker's protest. If the UAW, here and in Canada, decide they don't like the way Trudeau has dealt with civil protest, they may walk out regardless of what 'leadership' says. Gonna be a new ballgame.

And why should they? If people are on the job, that's the point. And manufacturing is indoor work of a cooperative nature.
