    Donotsk

So a couple of break-away, pro soviet islands get absorbed by Russia. Fine with me. Who needs them? We are going to put sanctions on them and do no business with them. What do they produce that we need anyway? I know the problem is, we told them (Russia) not to do it and they did so we're miffed. Am I anywhere close to right about this?
Of course there is the parable about the camels nose.

What makes you think this is the end of it?

I'm not at all sure this is the end of it. But this part has been pretty easy. No one has gotten hurt (this week). Maybe things might actually settle down in that region. I saw an estimate of 10K civilian casualties in a full blown invasion.

Seeing Putins speech, I guess divorce would be a good analogy; "Your a jerk, I've found somebody else and I'm leaving you". "Oh no your not, you belong to me"

Europe has been here before. Different actors. Exact same problem. Sincerely. bruce.
