Is this indiscriminate shelling of civilians purposeful or are they
just lousy shots ? I can't believe these troops are the best in their
military - or are they ? In WW2 their soldiers were mostly illiterate
peasants - gun fodder. Maybe this lot are peasants more interested
in rape than disipline. Whatever it is, it's almighty weird as they seem
more like a roudy mob than soldiers.

Doubt there are very many front-line hard chargers in these columns. From news footage, reports, appears that most of the men are trainees who were not prepared/trained very well, men who were not expecting to be put into combat.
