Without their Nukes, Russia could be a Paper Tiger ...

The Army is a shambles. There seems to be no clear cut plan, just brute force.
True; you can win using brute force, but if you want to conquer and then occupy
a country, there needs to be country left to occupy, not just rubble. There seems
to be a lack of leadership, in which case how are they going to run their conquest
when they'll no doubt face constant attack from the conquered ?
They can't - at least I doubt it. It's going to end as it began, in total chaos.

Don't forget the crackdowns. If you said the Russian equivalent of "let's go B------" in Russia you're looking at 15 years. (A reminder there to those who think that P is some kind of role model for the kind of leader they would like to see.)

Is that the kind of place people are going to fight for? Maybe not.

But yes if not for the nukes, NATO has chewed up the columns already. And I have to wonder if I am a Russian General how I feel about getting in this nasty street fight right in front of NATO's house, where they can record every single thing they see. And you can be that they are. Russians may control the airspace but there is a good chance that the Ukrainians are told what is in the skies above.
