We're suffering just as much as Russia is ...

well, the people are, theirs and ours. Russia's cost of living is going skyward just like
ours is. The sanctions we imposed on Russia are boomeranging and biting us on the arse.
China as I said earlier will pick up the slack and supply Putin with whatever he needs.
Who's going to bale us out ? Oh, that's right, Iran and Venezuela - two very friendly
countries who will no doubt sell us oil at a reasonable price. Biden's reasoning in all
this escapes me but he seems intent in doing everything he can to annoy Putin. It's
as though he'd welcome getting us into a shooting match with Moscow.
Biden scares the sh!t out of me as much as does Putin - and that's saying something.
The two most poweful men in the world, - one is a tyrant, the other is an idiot.
    Far from reassuring.

Lattes are almost $6 now (maybe more. I buy one about once a decade). Saints preserve us. But seriously, gas in my rich neighborhood went from $3.99 (which is really $4) to $4.29 (which is, well you know) in a day. Fairly shocking.

Childish remarks from you are to be expected. But you are getting boring.
No, you became boring long ago.

So what I hear you saying is, you're unhappy when people call attention to your obvious lack of fighting spirit. There, was that put sensitively enough?

If your credit card, Visa, AMEX, Mastercard still works you are better off than you would be in Russia.
If you can get on an airplane and you don't have to worry about which countries have closed their air space to you; you're better off here than in Russia.
If you have an "I" phone and it still works and you have access to tech support you are better off than you would be in Russia.
If you have Netflix you are better off than you would be in Russia.
If you can buy a Coke, and a Big Mac you are better off than you would be in Russia

All of these services (and more) have been cancelled or restricted in Russia.

In addition, the Ruble has collapsed, there have been runs on the banks and the Russian Stock Market has been closed for days.

Food and shelter. Who's really suffering here?

                Dogtag has forgotten his priorities.

Funny how a man who has never heard a shot fired in anger feels qualified to accuse another man of "lack of fighting spirit."

Funny how a supposedly professional military historian completely dismisses the idea of fighting spirit on the home front, that it matters in the success of a struggle.

Oh, he's just demonstrated an Article 133.

Well togar, have you ever been shot at ? I have and no doubt many here have been too.
If you want to know the circumstances, ask. Otherwise keep your snide remarks to yourself.

Nobody is expecting any of us to carry rifles. That much is obvious.

But complaining about personal inconveniences of this might get you some blowback from folks who have a different view. That too should be obvious, but don't take it personally.
