    Pretty good assessment from Newt.

In keeping with the Bunny Rabbit, Kamala goes to Poland, lays another egg, and kackles.

Look at what Putin got wrong:

      * Readiness of his own army
      * Capacity of Ukrainians to put up a fight
      * Ability of the West to rally a big economic hammer.
      * Willingness of a big slice of the private sector to spontaneously join in
      * West is openly arming Ukrainians despite Putin's demands that they don't

But Gingrich nonetheless insists in hindsight that surely there was something Biden could have done to prevent the invasion, ignoring the evidence in hand of how far P had shoved his own head up his own ass.

Gingrich is a f*cking idiot trying to pass himself off as an intellectual. It's painful to watch, and there's a reason he hasn't been in charge of anything important for 20 years.

There you go again claiming inside info knowledge that you are hoping to be true but in fact it probably is not. For example, instead of being wrong about the readiness of his military it is more likely that Putin knew it sucked and really needed a exercise and a rebuild for his real dream of capturing all of Europe

And the big economic hammer? What a Joke. There can not be such a thing unless China Russia, and India join in. The European Union claims to be the 2nd biggest economic force but in reality they are split in their reactions.

So Newt is a over the hill politician but he was in fact the Speaker of the house, won many elections, and is a historical character. Tell us more about your successes. How many elections have you won? How long were you Speaker of the House? How many op-eds have you published? How many years were you a armed forces officer risking your life in service to the country?

Just curious how you and Newt stack up?

I think Newt is a gasbag politician. And I doubt he would have been the slightest bit of help last weekend while I replaced a rusted section of brake line on a Dodge Dakota that has seen a load of salty winters. 'Cept maybe to tell me I was doing it wrong when I was torching off a hard to reach flare nut (it came off but dayum).

Now you're arguing that Putin saw all this coming? Which is why he has locked down all news of the war and it's a 15 year sentence to report anything other than the party line?

Good Lord you're just sh*tposting now about this "special military action" aren't you. Tells me that like P you're rattled about what this means for the future.

What it means for the future is disaster, history ignored is guarantee of a rerun. The Russian invasion is a repeat of Hitler invading Poland.

It is a guarantee that WWIII has begun. Millions will die because they do not drive electric cars?,

The new world will renew slavery. Anybody that thinks humans can eat cake and only drive electric cars is a slave to their masters and a dream come true.

              Heil to you masters.

So back to topic, RED, if I could ask you this:

In the days ahead, what would you have Biden do to help defeat Putin, publicly or privately, that you are certain he won't do?

Hindsight is 20/20 or better but looking ahead is trickier. I have a concern about Biden that I'm willing to share but invite you to go first.

Okay so you think Putin has won and there's nothing anyone can do to change that.

I disagree but everyone gets their own opinion.

My concern on Biden is that he may be too risk adverse. To win in war risks must be taken. Obama in his memoir put Joe among those who voted to hold off on the OBL raid, worried about the risks of failure (ie Jimmy Carter's reelection chances crashing in the Iranian desert).

My hope is that while Biden is taking a non-threatening line in public, rightly considering the nukes, privately they are busy figuring out how to deny Russia victory in the field.

FDR faced this situation somewhat in 1941, where the USN was fighting an undeclared war against German submarines. There was even duplicity by FDR to the American public, understandable in hindsight.
