US military fears Putin is planning to use nuclear threats and reveals he is working on new nuclear weapons that can BEAT Western defenses so he can 'inflict unacceptable damage on the West'
DIA Director Lt. Gen. Scott Berrier revealed the concerns in a report Thursday

The report on global threats noted that Putin would be likely to threaten use of nuclear weapons if Ukrainian defense forces continue to push back
It's also believed that Putin intends to 'overturn the U.S.-led rules based post-Cold War international order' and reclaim former Soviet territories
The report also notes that Russia claims to be developing missiles that are capable of circumventing Western defenses

It has already deployed non-nuclear weapons that come equipped with decoy projectiles, in a possible sign of what's to come
This is in order to 'ensure that Russia can credibly inflict unacceptable damage on the West'

Apparently the "warning shot" nuke is something those guys think about. What that looks like in actual practice, I don't know. But hopefully there are people in their chain of command who know what a crappy idea that would be.
