I've made no secret of my dislike of this man for taking his country
into a pointless and destructive war. It now seems he's using the war
to set himself up as leader for life in much the same way that Putin
did. Zelensky has banned any kind of opposition to his leadership
and has imposed a tight rein on his media. Ukraine has never been
a democracy and it's leaders are known for their corruption.
All this hero worship is misplaced and any likening to Churchill is not
only ridiculous, it's doubly ridiculous. Zelensky has and still is doing
his damnedest to draw us into his war with Russia, luckily to no avail
with Biden so far resisting the Washington war lovers.

Zilinsky was a stand up comedian and is now a dictator. Ukraine is NOT a democratic country! It is run by a dictator who can suppress/do away with anything he wants too. It's exactly the form of government the democrats want! They have made many inroads in that direction already!

Mr. Zilensky is the freely elected leader of Ukraine winning a heavy majority of the votes cast. He has not adopted the manner or authority of a dictator. He has exercised firm and unflinching leadership on behalf of Ukraine in the face of a weak excuse making international response to requests for much needed support by which Ukraine may stand up to and stop putins effort to claw back nations that only recently escaped the grip of the now dead ussr. At this point he has successfully managed to use the modern day equivalent of sling shots to kill assorted russian equipment, supplies and even russian generals. At this point he has not caved into those who want Ukraine to just knuckle under to political rape and ruin. He has managed to speak plainly and pointedly w/o equivocation or the need for diplomatic translation to tell putin and all concerned just exactly what they have to face until the invasion is reversed into a withdrawal. Cannot see that demokrats have anyone of this caliber either currently in place or waiting in the wings that could manage this same level of effective leadership. JMHO. Sincerely. bruce.

I understand the citizens of Mariupol had the opportunity to escape but a lot stayed when they didn't have to.

I saw Russia is accusing the U.S. of extending the war by sending more armament there. How unfair. Maybe they should have made up the rules before they attacked. The part about, we're supposed win.
