MT there are so many many ways this could be worse right now. And Putin being Putin, very few ways it could be better.

Nonetheless it is understood you'd rather drink drain-o than admit the Biden administration appears to have a handle on their job here.

The #1 thing they've done is to use public releases of Intel to keep allies on the same page and to deny Russia international legitimacy for their war. That's a bigger deal than you think.

It's also possible that some Russian command & control failures on the ground are from fear that their comms are penetrated.

You're right. If Putin loses, he will be deposed and probably executed. He knows this. And that would be a strong motivator to go out with a bang!
